Chroma key

Chroma key is a method which allows people to change the green(or sometimes blue) background of a studio and to a background of the editor's choice. This method has a lot of advantages and these advantages are that it helps to reduce the cost of production and it also adds fun effect and also make the scene more attractive. This method was created long ago and is still used by big industry of production. This chroma key studio photo was taken at the MBC. They normally shoot weather forecast in this studio.

3 parts of the filmmaking process

Pre-Production

Pre-production is the preparation which are made before shooting the scene. It is normally started when the script is over. It is made to ensure that the production goes smoothly and to reduce problem which may be encountered while the production. Pre-Production involves these steps:
  • The budget is computed
  • The scripted is shared among the different parties
  • The company will manage to get all the insurance and permits ready
  • Shooting days will be scheduled
  • The company will look at the equipment needed for the production

Production

Production is when raw footage is taken and other elements which are needed for the project is taken. The production process may take a lot of time to finish gathering all the contents needed for the project and it may even take months depending on the length of the project. I have learned that during production the cameras are placed at 120 degrees so as to get different shooting angles and also to make the user more comfortable while watching the project.

Post-Production

Post-production is when the images, videos , sounds and other elements which have been recorded are edited. Post-Production also includes dubbing, sound effect and visual effects. At this stage, we can make corrections onto the video like colour adjustments. It is the step where the project comes to life and it is where mistakes are removed and effects are added to make people understand more clearly the vision of the project.
